Last year MilitaryBridge was a part of the first annual Peninsula Town Center and Hampton Military Affairs Committee Month of The Military Child Event. MB is really looking forward to being a part of this great event again April 26th. This is a wonderful day in celebration of all the sacrifices our military children make being a part of the military lifestyle. Military children are used to PCSing to new military communities and learning to make new friends while attending new schools. Military children also have to adjust to the frequent deployments of their mother or father sometimes going up to 15 months without their parent at home. Military children need to learn to be resilient to change which is a tough task even as an adult. Military children are strong and brave and that is why I absolutely love that April is a month dedicated to celebrating their courage and sacrifices. It is also why I love this upcoming event hosted by The Peninsula Town Center and Military Affairs Committee here in Hampton Roads!
I hope that you can make it with your children. It is a day dedicated to celebrating them with fun activities, live entertainment, family resources and more! Please share this event with any other military family/children you may know so they can enjoy a fun filled day that's all about celebrating them!
