TUCANOS SOCCER SKILLS CONTEST
FIFA 2014 World Cup is Going Brazilian; You Can Too!
NEWPORT NEWS, VA. – (Press Release) One of the world’s most-watched sporting events – the 2014 FIFA World Cup of Soccer – is coming to a climax in Brazil next week.
At Tucanos Brazilian Grill in Newport News, the World Cup celebration will culminate on Saturday, July 12 (the day BEFORE Sunday's championship match). Tucanos will host a youth soccer goal-scoring contest near the City Center fountain at Oyster Point.
Competitors in three age groups will vie for gift cards, caxirola noisemakers and T-shirts. There is NO entry fee required and no purchase necessary, however contestant openings are limited and are first come, first served. Three age divisions: 6 and under; 7 – 12 years; 13-16 years.
RULES SUMMARY: Contestants get three kicks at the goal keeper (a Tucanos staff member), the participant with the most goals in their age division wins.
Participants must be 30 feet away*
- *10 feet away for the 6 and under group
- If there is a tie, the top two head off in a second round of 3 kicks
PRIZES/EACH Division: 1st Place: $50 Gift Card and Caxirola 2nd Place: $20 Gift Card and Caxirola 3rd Place: T-shirt and Caxirola All participants will receive a free World Cup dessert (good with meal purchase) coupon – while supplies last

For those who didn’t make it to South America, Tucanos Brazilian Grill in City Center at Oyster Point is playing host to fútbol fans with authentic Brazilian food specials, game viewing parties and fan-friendly contests.

If you remember the vuvuzela from the last World Cup four years ago, wait ‘till you see – and hear – the “Caxirola” (pron. ka-she-'roll-ah), the official noisemaker of Brazil’s World Cup.
