“A ‘homefront girl’ is someone who exemplifies the courage and strength of a nation,” said Gaby Juergens, artist and creator of the Homefront Girl® brand. “I created this collection to pay tribute to the families who are sharing their hero with the world and to the incredible sisterhood of women who support our men and women in uniform every day.”
One dollar from every candle sold will benefit Homes for Our Troops
The Yankee Candle Company, Inc has announced the launch of the limited edition Homefront Girl® collection in support of Homes for Our Troops , created by career officer’s wife, Gaby Juergens. One dollar from each Homefront Girl® candle sold (up to $75,000) will support Homes for Our Troops, a military charity that provides mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured veterans post 9/11, enabling them to rebuild their lives. Each of the new fragrances offers consumers the chance to salute our country’s military in a unique way. The candles in the new line express different military-themed sentiments including Love My Hero, Gratitude Never Out of Style, and Support Our Troops.

About Homes for Our Troops
Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization building specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its founding in 2004, 90 cents of every dollar donated to HFOT has gone directly to our program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
