The Armed Services YMCA is an amazing local military related non-profit. They have several wonderful programs and events throughout the year. Below are some of their upcoming summer events.
ABOUT ASYMCA Hampton Roads:
The mission of the Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads is to improve the quality of life for junior enlisted military personnel and their families through values oriented social, recreational, personal development, crisis prevention, deployment separation, and child care programs.
ASYMCA of Hampton Roads Branch is unique in that we have three outreach centers, all of which are located on military bases. We also have a field site located in a multi-military housing development. Having these various locations makes it easier for us to bring our programs to all the branches of service; Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine, Navy, and National Guard.
Upcoming Events
Asymca Summer Camp is now enrolling! Discount for E-5 and below. Civilians welcome. No Y membership needed. For children ages 5-12 yrs old. The kiddos will enjoy a summer filled with swimming, field trips, cookouts, museum trips and so much more! Contact Katrina.Williams@asymcahr.org to register.
Hearts 4 Heroes is a fun filled NO-COST chartered fishing trip for Combat Wounded / Injured Veterans. The fishing experience will include food and drink, fishing license, rod rental, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning. Half day trip options available. Vets are welcome to bring along one family member or friend for a $20 event fee. 18 yrs or older. All branches welcome! First come, first serve basis. You don't want to miss out, register today! Asymca 8K Mud Run and One Mile Mini Mud! Step up and take the challenge of the longest running Mud Run in Hampton Roads! See if you have what it takes while competing against your friends and family on the home base of the U.S. Navy's finest. Want to make this a family affair?
