Service Offerings

Our Military Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides grants to children 3 years of age through the 12th grade of deployed National Guard and Reserve personnel and children of all Wounded Warriors.

Programs for National Guard and Reserve:
 
Approximately 100,000 children are affected by the deployment of a National Guard or Reserve parent. When a military parent deploys overseas, extracurricular activities become all the more important for keeping kids involved and on track. Unfortunately, it is often difficult for these children to play on school or community sports teams, participate in local music or dance programs, or get tutoring to help them stay on grade level because fees for these activities can be prohibitive. Our Military Kids enables Guard and Reserve children to participate in any extracurricular program they choose, giving children the freedom to pursue their own interests in athletics, academics, or the arts in the community in which they live.  Learn more.

You can help support these families by donating today at www.ourmilitarykids.org. Every contribution honors the service of our Guard and Reserve members deployed overseas by minimizing the sacrifices that their children make back home.
 
Programs for Children of The Wounded:

Children of Wounded Warriors face similar financial difficulties along with the challenges of learning to adapt to the physical, mental, and emotional changes in a loved one.

Our Military Kids supports the children of wounded service members/veterans by awarding grants that pay for participation in sports, fine arts, and academic tutoring programs. Activities help children cope with stress and anxiety in a positive way while parents recover from severe service-related injuries.  Learn more.

Special Opportunities:

Generous companies in the Washington, DC area have made tickets available to our local families for professional sporting and cultural events. Now Our Military Kids is working with national sponsors to make tickets available to events throughout the country – our first national sponsor is World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).  Learn more.
