"This dealership is a gem"

I’ve been stationed in Norfolk for quite a while now & unfortunately, have been to more than my share of shady dealerships. However, Rob @ Shore Drive proved to me that there is at least one honest used car dealer in this area. I never thought I could be as comfortable buying a car as I was when I bought mine from here! Rob assisted me but all of the employees here are great. I was originally referred here by my chief. When I arrived, I was quite surprised that I was not bombarded by a salesman as soon as I parked. I was briefly greeted and was told to feel free to look around at my own pace. It was nice being able to not have someone following me around talking my head off trying to sell me a car. Like I actually Had time to look at the vehicles instead of being pressured and told which one to buy or asked how much money I have! Eventually, after test driving a few cars & trucks, I found my Baby (2009 Lancer Evo)!! So I decided to move forward. Their process was fast, informative and transparent. I didn't even have to ask for the car fax, it was automatically provided for me along with an Autocheck. I financed my car through Navy Federal to get the lowest interest rate & they were fine with that. I mention this because the dealer down the street kept pressuring me to let them pull my credit and possibly go though some credit union I’ve never heard of. Actually that happened on a few different occasions. Dealers kept saying they could beat Navy Federal’s rates & blah blah blah. Maybe they could have, IDK. I already had a preapproval from MY CREDIT UNION and that’s who I felt comfortable with financing my soon to be next vehicle with. That wasn’t a problem at Shore Drive. When I told Rob my plans, he said, “cool dude. whatever you’d like to do and whatever I can Do to help you accomplish that I’m happy to do.” He didn’t badger me to find out how much my check was for or what my credit score was & he didn’t try to talk me out of going through my own bank. Needless to say he definitely earned my business. I bought my car and it’s been great!! My check engine light came on about six or seven months later and they actually fixed it and it didn’t cost me a dime!. So I’d say their warranty is top notch and their customer service is just as good after the sale as it was before. I will Definitely be back for my next car and whenever I know anyone else that needs a car I refer them to Rob at Shore Drive Auto World.
