If you have not experienced iFLY, I highly recommend putting it on your bucket list.  I've always wondered what it would feel like to jump from an airplane free falling from thousands of miles up in the air.  But, that little thing called fear of heights has always gotten in my way. 

That is what was so wonderful about my iFLY experience.  I was able to get that free falling feeling without the fear of heights getting in my way.  It was exhilarating.  The other great benefit about iFLY is just about anyone can do it, any age.  When our family went to our local iFLY Virginia Beach location for the first time, we had our children ages 9 and 12 along with grandma age 75. It was great to do something unique and fun together.

What You'll Experience at iFLY 

iFLY is an indoor skydiving experience that creates true free fall conditions, just like skydiving, without having to jump out of an airplane. iFLY’s vertical wind tunnel generates 1400 horse power from 4 powerful fans, creating a wall-to-wall cushion of air on which you can safely float. There’s no parachute, no jumping, and nothing attaching you to planet Earth. It’s just you and the air, and it’s the most incredible adrenaline rush.

Anyone Can Fly

No experience is necessary. Just about anyone can fly, including those with physical disabilities. Children as young as 3 to adults as young as 103 have flown with us. There are only a few exceptions—for example, if you’ve dislocated a shoulder or have had a neck injury.  Learn more about FAQS.

The Experience at iFLY

• Just book a flight

• Arrive a half hour before your flight time to check-in, complete your waiver, attend your training session, and change into your flight gear (all included)

• Your personal, highly-trained and accredited instructor guides you through the entire experience

• Enter the flight chamber

• Fly like a super hero!

• Your instructor makes sure the you’re comfortable and having a great time

• The whole experience lasts about 1 hour and each flight is the equivalent of one and a half skydives
